Trolls and Trinkets 2e

Welcome to 2nd edition of T&T, because the first one is stalled. I believe the first order of business is to decide what kind of setting we'll have and how all the characters shall meet. Go.

I suggest generic fantasy world, with a local large military power.

This is my inner fan-self speaking, but maybe a world made from all of our favorite fandoms?

That seems reasonable...All the different landmasses could be separated by a sort of interdimensional ocean. So you start in Tamriel and take an overseas journey to Middle-Earth, then Alagaësia, then Narnia etc.

I LIKE THIS IDEA!!!!!

Although...there are significantly different magic systems involved in each, so it's probably simpler to just have a generic fantasy realm we define as we go along.

Okay, so we seem agreeable on that front. The other thing is who and what characters are people planning on playing as so we can start this at least semi-coherently before it devolves into a colossal mess.

Also how do we start? We can always steal from the Elder Scrolls and all be arrested.

So we're all in jail, then?

K. Everyone except Numbers is in jail, for various things. Numbers' character is one of the jail guards.

Sirius, having decided to join as his character Octavion, is locked in the stocks out front. For drunken brawling.

There are of course a few NPCs in jail as well.

My character sits in one of the jail cells, despondent. One of the jail guards walks up to my character's cell. "Hey you! Look alive! You are in jail for murder. Fear the power of -" And then takes out his knife and stabs himself in the gut, then the heart, then the eye, and then falls over dead.

Octavion wakes up, wondering where the hell he was. "Man," he says. "That's the last time I ever get drunk. Why the hell couldn't the academy back home teach us how to handle our liquor?!"

My character wakes up in the opposite cell, super hung over from last night's drunken madness. He coughs heavily and sits up, the room spinning as he moves.

"What the hell happened?" he asks, voice heavily slurred and lazy.

"Well," a feminine voice, which is curiously muffled, says from a little ways down the corridor, "if it had anything to do with the ruckus outside I heard last night I'd say you were arrested for being part of a brawl. That's what they get, I expect, from putting a prison right down the street from a tavern."

"Smart move on their part.' My character coughs loudly and stumbles off of the wooden shelf of a bed.

"Have any of you managed to see where the guards are at? I'd look myself but...well, I can't."

Here is my character that I made...

Age: Seems to be in early 30’s

Appearance: Wears recently polished conquistador armor, has a belt with sword. Has a powerful build, black hair/moustache, and freshly manicured hands. He may be slightly “wider” than the average population.
Height: Medium
Abilities: Whatever is humanly (not magically) possible
Equipment: Belt with sword, but owns a lance. Conquistador armor and a set of expensive as well as heavy boots.
Personality: Justice is his God. Criminals are not to receive any enjoyment when he is around. Has an expensive taste and is patient.
Habits: Manicures his nails when bored or stares down his “guests”.
History: None was provided, but digging into personal files has revealed he joined the cityguard 10 years ago and has risen to become one of the top guards.
Occupation: City Guard
Affiliation: The City
Tier: N/A

"I am right here" David says (rather yells), kicking Dezenn to shut her up.

"Unh!" Dezenn grunted in pain. "Well, that answers that."

"There is more where that came from, convict!"

Dezenn had a reasonable desire to not be beaten to a pulp before her inevitable escape and so was silent.
