Mass Effect RP

Having played and learned plenty about Mass Effect as a franchise (BG is playing it as well), I believe this RP could be a good idea and well worth the investment of time and thought.

I have a couple ideas: one where only one person gets to be Shepard and one where the Lazarus Project resulted in three or so separate Shepards.

Thing is, initially, I don't think "multiShepard" would work because of in-universe complications. Perhaps a better idea would be to have Helsie play Shepard so he can get the experience - since myself and BG have both played the game through ourselves we don't need to RP Shepard here because we have our own Shepards.

I don't feel a multi sheep would be would work for me. I think it would be more simpler or fun to do a more broad "SCI FI" game. Adding Mass effect, starcraft, Fire Fly, Faster than Light, Ect. It would be a bit easyer and a lot more fun down on my end.

I do not support this - the mutual incompatibility is insane. Just putting Mass Effect and Firefly together would be next to impossible, let alone adding those others. For example, Firefly has apparently easy interstellar travel, whereas Mass Effect relies on a network of Mass Relays in order to cross galactic space in any meaningful time. Firefly's Alliance is a totalitarian fusion of America and China as well as having abandoned Earth as a planet. The Systems Alliance from Mass Effect is effectively the world government but is based on Earth and is probably a democracy - it's also effectively only a member of a sort of pan-galactic United Nations in the Citadel. Speaking of which, Firefly has no aliens, Mass Effect has plenty of aliens. The issues will only compound exponentially as we add additional franchises.

A large part of it comes down to playstyle. Paragon Shepard is basically a saint, Renegade Shepard is a bit harder to explain. In ME1, Renegade means "self-serving racist jackass who likes money." In the second game a lot of it comes off more like Malcolm Reynolds or a troll. I can link some videos and provide information.

Oh dear God this must happen. I just finished Mass Effect 3. I cried four times. And then read the TV Tropes page and watched some clips on Youtube and cried again.

Pretty much. So, since you're playing broshep I'm just going to assume you look like default Shepard and your first name is Gideon, not that it will ever come up.

Now, what's your background and reputation? Earthborn, Spacer or Colonist are the background choices for the game, and reputation is Ruthless, War Hero and Sole Survivor. And of course, since this isn't the game itself, there's always the write-in option.

I know very little about mass effects story and the characters other then the ones that stand out the most (Ei Wrex and Thane)
