CW2: Civil War

"This place was once you'd to do experiments on mutants. They would take them and try and find out what makes them tick. By the way the records are destroyed because well I didn't want you kids to know about this place, you want to sleep without nightmares right?"

Nightcrawler gestured down at himself. "Hey, I basically am a nightmare."

Songbird finally managed to pry her lips apart. She sucked in a deep breath...then both cuffs holding her to the chair were severed by sonic blades.

"Kid if you know what I've done, you wouldn't be saying that" Logan says

Xavier was still on the X-jet when SB freed herself "Leaving?"

Songbird's head whipped around - she had thought the plane was empty. Well, fine. She sent a barrage of sonic spikes in the direction of the voice.

Bobby heard the blast of sonic energy. "What was that?" He asks running out to the jet.

Xavier got hit in the shoulder with one of the spikes. He cried out in pain, but in his hand was SB's ear pieces

Songbird hit him with a sonic bludgeon - she needed him incapacitated. Her earpiece was gone, which meant that if she didn't take him down he'd mindwipe her or some stupid crap like that.

With him temporarily out of the way, she blasted the door off the Jet and readied her wings.

SB was close to taking Xavier down but still not good enough. SB didn't get 50 feet before a huge metal pain hit her

Iceman and Meltdown run out to see Songbird about to take off.

Logan runs into the Jet to see what when on. He sees Xavier and starts bandaging the wound

"AAAGH!" Songbird clamped her hands over her ears instinctively, desperately trying to stay airborne. She discovered quickly that gliding was very easy and decided the proper course of action would be to turn her existing altitude into distance so she could get out of Xavier's range.

Iceman fires a stream of ice at SB, hoping to keep her from getting to far.

Xavier doesn't want to hurt SB but he turns up the metal pressure

Songbird felt ice forming around her. Thankfully her suit was insulated - that wouldn't do more than inconvenience her at the rate she was going. Her headache, which had been fading, suddenly spiked again and she wobbled mid-flight. No! Back off! she raged silently.

<I can't have you telling Citizen V where we are> Xavier sends before he wipes he mind of anything to do with the safe house

<Let her go Bobby>

Songbird felt like she should remember something. Her headache was suddenly gone...wait.

Professor X was a telepath! Damn it, he'd erased something from her head. She briefly considered trying to find out what it was, but no. Better to get out of range as fast as possible; she was a hero, she wasn't stupid.

She took advantage of her renewed concentration to hurl a huge sonic piledriver at Iceman.

Logan finished patching up Xavier "Don't do that again Charles"

"Logan, I now wonder who is the teacher and who is the student"

Nightcrawler watched out the window as Songbird distracted Iceman with the piledriver while rapidly gaining altitude.

Scott sees the piledriver and tackles Bobby out of the way

"You people won't get away with this!" Songbird warned as she soared rapidly into the air, heading away from the safe house.

Logan comes out along with Xavier

"Well that went well" Logan says

Upstate New York:

A old abandoned fort had been bought by a Chinese company, naturally through multiple dummy cooperations owned by the Mandarin. People who a few weeks ago could have freely entered the surrounding forest and the fort itself found guards blocking their path, claiming the fort to be private property.

A black limosine pulled up in front of the fort. Greeting their arriver, the Mandarin, was Doctor Doom and the Wizard "I expect you had a pleasant trip?"

The Mandarin didn't care for pleasantries instead surveying the fort. It was being remodeled into a modern fortress, being rebuilt with propulsion systems allowing it to float "I heard that the X-men are busy being hunted down. Loki and our contacts in NY did their job well. I hope our contacts are ready for me to do what I've always wanted to do. Burn down Stark Enterprises. Contact them to see if they will be available to jam NY's radar and communications. With the fortress, once it is finished I'll burn that dump down."

At Alkile lake

The x-men have finished there moving in and are starting to get used to the new home. The long tunnels provided with enough room and the remaining labs were more then enough to continue classes

The x-men are fully integrated into there new home
