A Journey Through Middle-Earth

"Very well," King Dain returns, "you return to the tunnels, if possible, knock them down. I will remain here and interrogate this scum."


As Maria climbs into the hole, she realizes that it goes deeper. Interesting.


Just before Latnir's spell escapes his mouth, the elf that was on guard with him runs up, saying "The man is a friend. The Lord Elrond knew of his coming. Don't harm him! Oh, and by the way, you are relieved from duty. It seems Lord Elrond wishes to speak with you."

"Pikel and Ivan, protect the king" Turganne runs the the barracks and rallies some men, they then travel to lower Erebor

Maria decides to go in a little further, in case the orcs came in, but not too far.

Latent shuts his mouth at the news and takes out the arrow in his bow "alright I'll be there shortly" he makes his way to the main keep we're Elrond should be.

Gwindle yells at the men" form a defensive circle" as he pulls his pickax out of the worgs head and readys him self for the next

"Aye sir," Pikel and Ivan say in unison as Turganne runs off. Turganne gets to the barracks, but only finds about 5 dwarves on duty.


Maria crawls deeper into the hole. It seems to keep going deeper, but it gets too dark to see, and if she were to light a torch, it might bring a horde of orcs upon her.


Latnir makes his way to the main room of the Last Homely House. As he enters, he sees the man whom he saw coming towards Rivendell talking to Elrond. Elrond turns to Latnir, saying "Ah, hello Latnir. This man is Amdir, a Ranger from the area around Bree. It appears that Wargs have been roaming far outside of their normal range. Now, I know that you yearn to get out of here, and to see adventure. Would you like to lead a party of Elves to hunt Wargs?"


The men form a circle with their spears outwards. This formation seems to hold well against the Wargs, and 3 of them are killed quickly, without much injury to the men. There are 9 men against 13 Wargs now.

Latnir bows low "yes my lord I would be most honored if you would pick me out of all the other capable Elves here when would I be leaving"

"On your feet, Soldiers! There has been a goblin incursion into lower Erebor! Come with me." Turganne waits for them to be ready then leaves to reinforce lower Erebor.

"You will leave as soon as the men are ready," Elrond replies, and just then 10 elves enter, and one of them says "We are ready to leave sir." "Very well, are you ready to leave, Latnir?"


The dwarves jump to their feet and follow Turganne to the place where the cave was. Unfortunately, someone had gotten there before them, as the whole party of dwarves left behind to guard were dead, along with about 5 orcs. The dwarves who followed Turganne emit a groan.

"I would like to get somthign from my room but after that we will leave with great speed, will the ranger be coming with us?"

Turganne try's to examine how many orcs were there

"Very well," Elrond says, "Get your things, the party will be waiting for you at the gate. And yes, Amdir will go with you."


Turganne sees that there were at least 25 orcs, though he can't be sure.

"Alright" latnir gets all his things in order and get on the road with the other Elves.

"We need more men, but for now we must look through these tunnels" Turganne enters through one of the tunnels.

Latnir starts toward Bree with the Dunedan and the elves. He is about half-way to Bree when he sees a light, and hears shouting, snarling, and howling.


"Aye sir," puts in one of the dwarves, "I agree with ye, but d'ye not think it would be wise to send a messenger to the King, telling him we have an orc party loose in the halls?"

"Get your bows and spears ready we are about to meet are enemy now ride" Latin starts running after the sounds.

Latnir's party charges at the noises. As they enter the clearing, they see about 10 wargs fighting 9 men, but one of the men is short, and hairy. Wait, that's no man, that's a dwarf!

"Kill the wargs leave the humans alive" latnir yells as he shoots at one of the wargs.

"Yes we need to tell the king, but one of us needs to knock this tunnel down."

Latnir's arrow strikes the warg in the head, killing it. The impetus of the charge kills 3 other wargs, so that there are now 10 elves and 8 men, not including Gwindle, Latnir, or Amdir, against 9 wargs.


"Very well sir," the dwarf says, as he strikes the rock with his pick. Unfortunately, the rock is harder than he expected, so he turns to Turganne, saying "I'll stay here and knock down this tunnel. You go inform the king, and then we'll hunt some orcs. Baruk Khazad! Khazad Ai-menu!"
