THE BASICS RP

(Here is the main thread for the basics all player info will be on the first page on the OOC but all NPC info will be on here have fun)

King Eugene decides that the spy-network is not worth the effort in Serbia, since he hardly considers it a threat. Instead it should be moved to Sicily, where it can better serve Naples interests.

Naples begins to build up its navy claiming that to keep pirating under control it must increase the size of its navy. To help offset the costs of the naval buildup, the naval ships will be able to hold cargo and trade with other Mediterranean countries.

Naples also seeks to improve its relations with the HRE (Holy Roman Empire) due to that the HRE is right on Naples doorstep.

The move of the spy network goes smoothly but there is a bit of trouble because of the size of the country that it's now in, but will still helps none the less (bonus of 1 on only spying on Sicily no SAB or assassin bonus yet)

The build up of the navy is a little costly at first but should even out and be able to make a profit
And the other country's don't see this as a problem they see it as very good for if one of there country's gets a better navy then all of them can profit from the lack of pirates.


The HRE see this friendly behavior as a sign good favor and hope that it keeps up because there are romors about Rebals in the HRE.

The Napolitan Kingdom wants to know what the HRE means by rebels (Italian, robbers, Austrian, nobles, or something else).

Naples also seeks to extend its trade reach to France, trading food for expensive (and high quality) Italian wines.

HRE mean bandits and robbers going through small villages and making the people think the king is a bad guy(he is)

(Another tipe the way other country's look at you is important and how they see your people.)

France thinks would be very good for the nobles and higher class but even though it's a small trade they say yes.(nobles in France are a little happier with Naples)

The Norwegian Vikings seek to consolidate their hold on Greenland and to trade their lumber to the mainlands for money.

The HRE sees this as another good chance for trade with other country's and asks for trade for timber(this will help them make more weapons and seige weapons for war)

The Irish king Mccamn looking for ways to further his country's income asks to trade food items that the country doesn't have access to like potatoes for isteance( no other place really had them at the time) and trader timber 

King Mccamn asks fore his "scientists" to look into eceolgy ( better farming techniques ) as well as studying the rocks from once of the mountains to see if it has any useful properties

(Warning there is a reason country's didn't trade with the HRE)

The HRE are very happy and ask for trade with Ireland for the potato and will trade them spears in return( the HRE had the best weapons in this time and had more weapons then men to use them. They also have the best smiths and metal workers. And are third in reaserching) the French want to trade as well.

The Irish "scientist" arnt the best but this will help them Inprove later on they start working on new farming right away.

Ireland also has a small amount of silver in its mountains and a large amount of iron.(the best weapons would be bronze though)

King Malcolm of Scotland extends a greeting to King McCamn, offering alliance.

King Malcolm sends prospectors throughout Scotland, to see if there are any useful minerals in the Highlands.

King Mccamn accepts the Scotlands offer 
Accepts trade with both the HRE and France.
The king orders mines to be built right away.
The king sends a request to Britain asking them to train minuteman for the Irish in return they will trade Iron Ore for ten percent less than other countries

(It wouldn't be Britain yet just england is fine and you and the Scottish where already allies)

England wishes to change the terms of trade with the Irish that if they train 600 Irish minutemen then they must for them in potato seeds so England can grow there own(it's a little weird way to pay stuff) and England will Not pay for there weapons or upkeep and they still must trade the iron for 15 percent less.

The prospector comes back and say he found a small iron pocked and a larger coal pocked.

The Vikings trade their lumber with the HRE and look to the west, while waiting to see if anyone in Sweden can be married.

[I mean they're trying to firm up their hold on Greenland and IIRC Iceland. Build them up as settlements.]

They build up in Greenland is going well there is soon found a small town (you can name it) the first in Greenland that makes Iceland want to build up there settlements as well.

The Finnish trades have just masted the art of message birds which allows them to get info to one end of there country to the other within a week.

The Romans have also made a break through in animals they have a new system of training dogs in a short amount of time that allows them to help guard building and people.(neg 1 on all Assassin attempts in roman land)

The Vikings would be very interested to hear of this Finnish development. What sort of birds? They also ask Sweden repeatedly if there are any noblewomen (preferably young and attractive ones) up for grabs.

The town in Greenland is called Forpast.

The Swedish seeing as Norway won't stop says that there is a girl of no all birth her father is a general in the Swedish army(there arnt that many)

The Finnish tribe sends these bride to every tribe in Finland and the ways to train them(you can't use them without both) and says that Norway and Sweden can buy them.(this would mean that you could get news of an attack from Norway through Sweden to the far end of Finland in about 9 days)

Norway promptly encourages Sweden to accept a noble marriage. They offer to purchase the bird-training method.

The noble marriage will be arranged.

Finland sells the birds training to norway(I'll tell you when you have I bord in every town)

Sweden also buys the birds and asks Finland and Norway of they would like to make bird out post for each other that way they can trade info more efficiently.

Naples is trying to arrange a marriage between King Eugene and crown princess [insert name here] of Sicily.

Norway agrees, so that they can bring the Nordic peoples together.

An urgent message is sent to the king of Scotland saying that the pocked a on coal and iron they thought where small are really very big.

Sicily sees this as a move to take Sicily through marriage but can't stop them from trying and let's the kind talk to the princess.

Naples assures Sicily that the only way for both Sicily and Naples to survive is through this marriage.

King Malcolm dispatches a mining crew to the location, and also begins looking into the "dark arts" that he keeps hearing about.
