The Elder Scrolls V.5: Skyrim

After the capture of Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm, General Tullius worked his way to Helgen, to execute the man for his crime of killing High king Torygg. Along the way, he also capture several other suspicious people. You all awaken to the jostling of a bumpy road, and a voice.

"Hey, you lot, finally awake."

Valtyr a high elf opens his eye and sits up "What happens last night?" He looks around and sees he is in the back of a wagen with other less noble blooded people.

Vaninir wakes up, with a splitting headache and no memory of the night before.

"What happened?" he asks in a way that was part speech and part incoherent grumbling.

"OH I see your awake too and you look like hell whats your story?"

"I'm a nord, not much else to it."

"Well since I think we are going to are deaths, because there are storm cloaks in the other wagen behind us, let me be the frist to introduce myself im Valtyr once a member of house draco" Valtyr reaching his hand out to the large Nord "and what might your name be?"

"Vaninir, or Van."

Valtyr pulls back his hand with a blank look on his face. " well your talkative"

Van rubs his forehead. "How much mead did I drink last night?"

"Considering how you were acting," the Nord from across the cart says, "You would think you challenged Sanguine himself to a drinking contest."

In the corner of the cart, another Nord, not a Stormcloak, mutters about how the Stormcloaks got him caught.

"Why do Nords drink so much if you dont even remember drinking isnt that the point of drinking"

"To forget maybe?" A young Argonian offered as he winced from pain. "Dang it, may have a bruised rib." It hissed as it turned to the other captives. "Doesn't look like there are any life threatening wounds, but still try not to get them angry." The Argorian said as he smiled at Valtyr. "My name is Rees-Haat. I'm a healer, not a thief."

"Well, what in Oblivion are you doing here, then?" A young, pretty Breton woman asked the Argonian. "You, me, and evidently this Nord here," She indicated the non-Stormcloak Nord (not Vaninir) with a jerk of her head, "just got picked up because we were just in the wrong place! This is absurd!"

Across from the Breton was an absolute monolith of a Dunmer, sitting stoically and staring straight ahead in defiance of the conversation popping up around him.

"What's the matter. With him?" Asks van looking to the static Dummer.

"If your a healer then heal this Nords head I would but healing is one of my weaker skills"

"What's the matter? I'm being detained from my proper quest in life by these insolent Imperials, that's what's the matter!" The Dunmer growled, face twisted into a sneer.

"You and everyone else here..." The Breton muttered.

"and unless some miracle happens, we're all dead. "

"Hold on, need two free hands." Rees-Haat says as he starts scratching ath his bonds with his claws. He was working quickly and quietly. "The possible reason that I was picked up because I was caught stealing medical herbs from a fancy church that only heals those who pay for it. Me, I just help those who need it. I asked for the herbs but they said my kind can only be thieves and nothing else. I partially proved their theory but I'm a healer, through and through." Ree says aloud as he looked at the Nord. "And never loose hope, amazing things can happen at the drop of a hat."

"Oh, Divines, just because you've got a hangover doesn't mean we're all going to die." The Breton was clearly not happy with her situation and taking it out on Vaninir. "It just means you're a drunkard and a fool."

"I don't think there is a herb for stupidity, sorry." Ree adds to the Breton's comment before turning to the girl. "So do you have any idea what they are charging us with?" Ree asked before his claw cut through one of the ropes and his bindings immeadeatly loosened. "Well, looks like my luck is holding out so far." He hissed with pride. He quickly made sure the guard didn't see the loose rope as he tucked it away. "Hopefully I don't have to act with a life or death decision."

"Does anyone have an idea of where we are going?" the Nord asks as his headache lessens and so does his temper.

"The scent of the plant life doesn't remind me of any precise location. Sorry, but besides healing, I'm barely any use." Ree said as he looked around at those captured.

The Breton girl shrugged, deciding that the conversation had moved on without her. She looked over at the soldier driving their carriage. "Hey! Guard! Where are you taking us, anyway?"

"Well then we are worse off than a fish chocking on air." Ree said as he sat back and looked at his bindings. "I could try and run but, I haven't been on the run for a while. Don't know if I can still fade to shadow"

"What were you running from?"
