Middle-Earth OOC

Here is the OOC for A Journey Through Middle-Earth. A good place to learn some of Tolkien's lore is Tolkien Gateway, and here is a map of Middle-Earth. Ignore the blue line, that is just the path of Thorin and Company.

Here is the character sheet:

Name: (pretty self-explanatory, though it would be good to choose a name that makes sense for whatever race you are.)
Race: (are you Man, Elf, Orc, Dwarf, or Hobbit?)
Background: (what's your story? where do you come from? If your chosen race has variables (i.e. High Elf, Wood Elf), describe that!)
Current Location: (where in Middle-Earth are you at the time of joining?)

Name: Blurg son of Bolg
Race: Orc
Background: Blurg was the son of Bolg, who was the son of Azog the mighty. He grew up in Gundabad, hearing the tale of his father and grandfather's demise. He grew up taught to hate Men, Elves, Halflings, and especially Dwarves. When he was old enough, he set out towards Erebor, to kill as many Dwarves as possible, in revenge for his sires.
Current Location: Just outside of the Grey Mountains, close to Erebor.

Race:High Elf
Dis: came from a family of guardians whose job was to watch over a hidden elf cave that is thousands of years old and holds many secrets but left that life to go adventuring for better things.
Skills: Has very good eye sight in the dark and knows a lot of secret magics from his place of birth but doesn't know how to talk to other people that well and is very quiet he always seems to start a fight with humans without even talking to them his favorite color is white because of the white robes he where's he is also very good with swords and bows but his weakness lies in his quietness and skill at talking.
Location: Rivendell.

Name: Turganne Ironbeard
Race: Dwarf
Backstory: One of the Guardians for King Dain Ironfoot, Turganne Ironbeard has seen plenty of combat during the Battle of the Five Armies (barely above a beardling) Turganne killed Captain Klurg Bo-Gash, and for his valor was made a Guardian of King Dain.
Location: Erebor

Name: Gwindle
Race: Dwarf
Backstory: Originally from the Iron hills, Gwindle was a son of a miner  and grew up swinging a pick, then when he was 20 joined the dwarvish army until he was 35, he didn't go very high in rank but was very useful when it came to goblin raids, his weapon of choice is ax or pickax, and his current age is 36 years old. He is currently occupied back and forth with being a guard and miner.
Location: Bree

Name: Marie "Gold Seeker"
Background: Her father was a thief who stole gold from a wealthy noble. As punishment, he was sent out to the Misty
Mountains along with his then 9 year old daughter to find gold to make up for the amount he allegedly stole. As her father over the years searched for gold, it was pretty evident there was next to none. One day when Marie was fifteen, she felt something strange. It seemed to be a force pulling her towards something. It turned out she could sense gold. Her father returned to Gondor to relieve his punishment. Only the city decided to execute him.
Marie returned to the mountains where she grew up and with her ability to sense gold found a fortune over the next few years. She could have returned to Gondor and been a happy as well as rich woman, but she knew that she wanted more gold. She wanted more, and the mountains were not exactly rich in gold ore.
She therefore offered herself in the service of the dwarves. She was renowned for finding gold ores and she gained the dwarves trust. Only it was misplaced. Maria wanted the gold for herself and managed to smuggle out a good sum of gold. When she was caught, she was sent into exile. She is now heading back to Gondor to check out rumors of gold.
Personality: Addicted to gold. One might say that she is greedy for gold, but she will say that the metal's color is what interests her, not the monetary value.
Abilities/ Other stuff: Can sense gold in her vicinity. Otherwise, she has no fighting skills with weapons. Her years in the mountains gave her some upper body strength. Her only other skill she has is that she can speak Dwarven (in case language is an issue) and she is very good with finances.
Location: En route to Gondor

Yes Frenchie, your approved. Also people, you can do whatever you want in Middle-Earth, just don't do something stupid and get yourselves killed. If you do get yourself killed, you can create a new character. Regarding combat, I will probably roll a die for each strike, to see if it lands or not. I will have to figure out how that will work when we get there.

Are you what? Also thank you Frenchie and Naruto for sticking to the character sheet I gave you. No offense Gaara, but you kind of confused me with yours.

If what you mean is are you approved, look at the first page. If I have you on the list of characters, you're approved. At the moment, nobody has gone too far off the lore to be disapproved :p

Not necessarily, I prefer having it over there, it makes it easier to work with. If you prefer it being over here, I will delete my two posts, and you can delete the Skynet. But, as I said, I prefer having it over there.
